Don't we sometimes think that we are the only one with the issues, the trials of life, the “special” needs that no one else can understand-?- leaving us feel isolated perhaps?? Or that we have to stand out among the crowded masses in this world to be NOTICED, to be SPECIAL, RECOGNIZED and SPECIAL, did I mention SPECIAL?
I recently followed along with 650,000 other people Oprah & Deepak's 21 Day Meditation Challenge for Perfect Health over the last 21 days.. Each day, I learned a new mantra, a new thought of the day and engaged into a short meditation for that day.

Now mind you, I thought when starting this, yes, I was doing it alone in the confines of my house - so that ensured my aloneness. Therefore- I was standing out among the masses of “others” engrossed in this meditation challenge. Daily, we learned with “ new tools to live in reach of perfect health with greater balance, passion and well being.”
It was a remarkable experience of shared power, knowledge and skills that made me realize, “yes” I may be the one and only "in my home" attending to this challenge; but I was truly the one of many that could re-look and re-charge the personal self to make a difference in this world in doing so.
I was happy to be the One of Many, not needing to be the One and Only.
These 21 days empowered my heart, mind and soul. The class was free, and no other investment options required other than parking myself in front of the laptop; get comfy and commence. Each class provided a new daily meditation, journal entry options if you choose to write your thoughts. Daily I adopted a new approach to Yes - VIEW the same perceived issues of daily living with new eyes and awareness..
Furthermore, in additional to the self imposed 21 day guided meditations, I do believe there is a supreme component of a higher power that we acknowledge is along side of us invisibly guiding each of us daily, no matter how you may choose to call it. In this world of such political correctness, I stand up for calling things as they are in my house; as God is my higher source; when asking for help from His House.
I now have finished the challenge –renewed, re-energized and with a new mantra, Yum.

In the end, I thought I knew where I had come from and where I was going . .I'm now in a new direction. How about you? Do you know were you come from and where are you going? Do you have a favorite Mantra? I’d love to hear about it!
Namaste.
Ellen
