Spring's Poetry and Poetry Month- April!

The Poetry of Springtime

April is poetry month. Is anyone else out there aching to write poetry? Random thoughts bombard me so often during the day to set and scribble and make some sense out of those lovely inspirations that come. There are certain ones that offer true clear visions of emotive's which seem to cry out for some type of prose... any type really. Perhaps if I had an inspiring garden such as Eudora Welty or Elizabeth Lawrence I might dream in prose. However, I do not have the write poetry well gene,  so, I appease my creative nature by reading it.

How about you? With springtime, I am inspired by poets as mentioned about and the likes of  Edna St. Vincent Millay, Anne Spencer or Edith Wharton. Who inspired you at springtime? Can you "Burn the candle at both ends?" by writing poetry too in addition to your blog, newsletter, short stories?

Anyone out there reading something new and exciting for poetry month? Are you a creative writer, blogger and poet too? How did you make the transition to poetry?  Send me a note, I'd love to hear about it!

Namaste.
