The Sense of the Right Direction with Inspirations

The Sense of the Right Direction with Inpirations

Summertime demands, Do this, Do that, Do it all, and do it so fast your head spins! Whoa.. I thought summer was a slow down, do what you really want to do SEASON! Surely, like most of us, we have our longer to do list, as summertime beckons the longer days to fill them up with the more living of life stuff.!

What leads our sense of right directions with our Inspirations? Today’s contemplations while an early morning walk before the heat beckoned, told me – point blank…inspirations arrive while being in the moment. And when an inpsiration latches on; do many of you write and be the critic and editor at the same time? So what does one do with that inspiration?

Where does the creative process grab a hold of you the most? Is it, with sights, events, pictures, music, and food? Is it in the middle of the night, during a family meal, a drive, a visit with a friend conversation, blogging, tweeting, Pinterest, or just Poof? It appears in that brain of yours, where you have to go some to create that short term blinking light thought into a short term memory?

The most challenge I face, when I write about my current inpiration, it is in creating the " not just tell “me” the reader, how you might feel, but "How you make one feel it!"  WoW....  yes, that's the right direction.

I often use a vision board of sorts, well, seriously just numerous journals at different spots where I could perch for a few moments, and jot down the random plethora of ideas and thoughts that INSPIRE me at the moment.

My girlfriend Steph, of EncouragedinHeart  http://encouragedinheart.org/
gave me my favorite Robin’s egg blue journal… which I carry with me everywhere in the work horse purse we all have… This little book works for me like a map, of where thoughts might want to go, where thoughts have been, and sometimes, where thoughts are stuck!

Do many of you out there use vision boards? How many just use apps to capture your thoughts? Do you think that an app for memory recall works as well as a journal, with pen in hand? And what I’d love to know is how many of you that write with a computer might use a sound effect to enhance the old time writing process of a typewriter? Yes, call me crazy, but that gets me going, listening to how fast my fingers fly… Of course, then I learned to type on a manual typewriter, and yes, that is showing some well worn age of time, as I in my Second chapter of  a great Life.

A great read for summer is by Joan Anderson....
