May Day,Lily of the Valley and White Inspirations

Happy May Day & Month Too!

Oh it's so exciting to arrive into the Month of May.

It's a day for spurtings of all kinds, new lettuce to grow, plantings finally and  not worry about being frozen in the earth (for most of the US) and for dancing around a May Pole.. or even just dancing!  Yes, I am divulging one of my childhood memories... and no I AM NOT in this picture below.

Does anyone out there also remember DANCING AROUND THE MAYPOLE?  My Mom made a special day of it for us kids, with treats and yes, or own little May Pole to run around with and streamers and cookies and candy and SUGAR... of course necessary to dance with for energy!

How about planting any special May flowerings?

I love to plant a new species of Lily of the Valley and the smell.. oh so sweet and pungent. Small plant with short time life, but - oh, the powerful punch they pack!

Yes, I know they like shade, they take time to cultivate, but when they take hold, they take off like their lifespan requires them to do so.
Yes, I know they are invasive, but tiny and mighty? You just need to know where you want to plant them for good or in a tiny single pot.! You decide!

They are the tiniest of tinys which always attract attentions... especially if you love white flowers.
